The Transfiguration offers us a vision of Jesus’ glory on the mountain top foreshadowing the later resurrection – a sign of transformative hope, a moment of encouragement, a call to praise.
Jesus reminds his disciples and us that the spiritual journey is always more than consolation as the great mystics teach us. We, like Christ, are called sometimes to difficult times, to experiences of the cross, but Christ is with us. We are called to the struggles of true discipleship with all its challenges, self-giving and joys.
Lent is a time when we are called anew into the journey of lifelong transformation. All welcome to this retreat to reflect again on the transformative message of this beautiful and compelling Gospel in Lent.
