In his life as a Jesuit priest, Teilhard de Chardin, S.J. (1881-1955) embraced the spirituality renewed of St. Ignatius of Loyola, especially the Exercises of St. Ignatius that would have been at the heart of his spiritual formation and transformation. As a scientist, Teilhard, sought to integrate evolving understandings of God’s evolutionary universe with Ignatian spirituality, at the centre of which is the mystery of “God in al things”.
This 6-day retreat will invite us to enter into the life and work of Teilhard, to contemplate this mystical horizon for an ever-new, and expansive vision of discipleship today for tomorrow.
